End of April Roundup

Over here at Dungeons on a Dime Press we've been busy little bees while the sun has been shining. A lot of artwork has come in from Atlanta, Fraser, and Ver for the Scurry core rules, and I've been illustrating the  campaign In The Wake of Titans.

Progress

Things seems on track for a June fulfilment date. The book should be finished by mid to end May, allowing for a single test print with Mixam before a full run of books. Will'o'wicks is making candles as we speak, and we should be able to combine everything into packages for a rapid fulfilment!

Art!

I'm not much for fanfare, so I hope you enjoy these screenshots from the WIP version of Scurry! I've included some alt-text for each spread too :)

Spread 1 / 4: Titled 'Ask Once', the pages contain an overview of the adventure, and introduce the character of Cinéad (he/him). Illustration shows a wax seal with a tortoise shell crest. Illustration 2 shows Cinéad, a magpie, standing atop a tree stump ripe with poisonous mushrooms, holding an ancient titan scroll (which the reader might recognise as a radio advert).
Spread 2 /4. These pages cover the underground city of Summit, and introduce Moira Dunkenny, and her scholarly halls. 1st illustration shows the mountainous exterior of Summit, and a queue of beasts entering the city. 2nd illustration shows Moira, a mole, standing proud a top a pile of books while her scribes work diligently below her.
Spread 3 / 4. Combination text and illustration. These pages show the floor plan of Dunkenny's Halls, and have labels detailing how to move around the halls, and important rooms and what they contain.
Spread 4 / 4. These pages introduce Sekani, an ancient tortoise sage, and how to conclude the Scurry. The illustrations shows Sekani holding an audience with a mouse, with they tower over. Sekani's face is wrinkled, but compasisonate.

Hello to all your beasts, big and small!

Following the Kickstarter campaign ending, I took a little time to recover and keep other plates spinning. Once the pledges were collected and I’d received the funds from Kickstarter, I brief Atlanta, Fraser and Ver, and they’ve been hard at work making gorgeous illustrations for the zine! I’ve also been working on the 3 adventures that come with the game, refining what to include, and doing some artwork.

Here’s a preview of something Ver turned in today!

Hope you all have a great week, and I’ll be back in April with more cool things to show off :)

The Last Few Hours

Hello to all the wee beasts out there,

This campaign has been a big success, and I'm so happy that so many people have backed it. It's been a long two weeks- it's felt even longer than my previous campaigns that have run over a month. I've been making plans for 3D moulds with Will, and briefing Ver, Atlanta and Fraser on the gorgeous art they'll be making for the book.

If you haven't backed the campaign yet, I'm going to be using Backer kit to handle shipping and addons. Chipping in a quid is an easy way to get in on the first wave of books shipping out, before I handle any pre-orders or send it to indie retailers!

Thank you for all of your love and attention this February. I can't wait to get Scurrying with you all <3
