We're less than five days away from the books arriving and Scurry beginning to fulfil. Y'all have until the 25th of June to confirm your BackerKit surveys before I lock them in and payment is collected. 

Almost 40 of you have yet to fill in your surveys!!

European Backers

It is vitally important that if you're getting your reward sent to the European Union that you get your survey fulfilled for this deadline. Import VAT starts from July 1st; while I'll be able to get pledges out before these new fees come in, there's no guarantee for late survey submissions. 

Pre-Orders

The BackerKit preorder store is still open, with some extra tasty discounts on DOAD books and merchandise alongside Scurry. Get a pawful of those deals before they scurry away!

To over 60% of your fine folk, this is old new. However, the BackerKit survey is now out, and pre-orders are open for Scurry! You can find your survey in your emails and the pre-order store below:

Bonus: Fold-Out Map!

After crunching some figures, I found that I'd gone over budget for the book and eaten into my own pay. There wasn't really much left to make a difference in my own life, but there was more than enough to reinvest into the book and make it all the better. 

Every copy of the Scurry now comes with this fold-out double-sided map of the Bristley Woods. I think it adds a delightful touch of immersion and fun! The digital packages also come with a print-out version too, if you or your beasts want to scribble over it again and again :)

Prepare for Backer Surveys

Hey everyone,

A quick heads up--Surveys will be going out soon!

Everything is set up on Backerkit, including a pre-order store for anyone that missed the Kickstarter and wants to get in on the first print run. The surveys are in review but should be approved today or tomorrow. Following a smoke test to a small portion of you guys to screen for bugs, surveys should go out by the beginning of next week.

Because I'm trying to get orders fulfilled to Europe before the 1st of July, the deadline for survey responses will be the 25th of June. If you miss this deadline, I can still fulfil! This deadline is so that I can make sure everyone gets their books, without extra import fees :)

Can't wait to get this book into your hands :D

End of May Update

Gosh, how the time flies!

I'm Scurrying through the final hurdles of finishing the book. This week I'm working on a fresh new cover for the book, and figuring out how Backetkit works so that I can get all of your details and shipping payments in. Surveys should go out by the end of next week!

Fulfilment

I'm hoping to get my ducks, rats and bats in a row so that I can start sending out books by the end of June. I should be sending off a print proof to Mixam next week. Provided that goes smoothly, I'll be receiving 500 Scurry books the 4th week of June (which is also my birthday!)

European Backers - Import Fees

This is an important warning for anyone receiving rewards in the European Union. After the 1st of July, all shipments from the UK are classified as foreign imports and will be subject to your local country's import taxes. I will do everything in my power to prioritise European backers first and have your orders sent out before the 1st of July. That said, be prepared for additional fees that are out of my control.

Liveshow, and more art!

I'm back with a mini update for mid-May. I've had my nose to the grindstone, and I'm happy to say that Scurry is (mostly) finished. The final text is with Vi for editing, and I've got a few more bits of art and spreads to perfect. 

We're on track to release in June, which is great! Once I've confirmed the total page count, I can confirm the weight of the book and open up the Backerkit Survey for folks to give me their addresses and pay for their shipping :)

Rules Debut: Metatopia's Zones of Connection

I'll be showing off the finished version of Scurry with three fabulous guests this Saturday 22nd of May, from 3.30 pm EST / 7.30 pm GMT, over on the Dungeons on a Dime Youtube channel :D

As part of Metatopia's "Zone of Connection" TTRPG symposium, I'll be showing how it's easy for the folks of varying TTRPG expertise to pick up Scurry and enjoy a delightfully hectic adventure together.
